What We Do

Kiwanis Chili Feast

For over 30 years, on a Friday in early February, our Kiwanis Club has cooked and served Kiwanis Chili. This project provides the funding for our projects. For several years we have cooked 150 gallons and served almost 1850 meals. Over 75% of our sales were ‘Deliveries’. We will deliver for at least 10 meals. Be sure to put this on your calendar for February 5, 2027. We will update with links to click and order as February gets closer!

Key Club Scholarships

Using money from the Kiwanis Chili Feast, for the last few years our Club has provided at least $10,000 in Scholarships to senior members of the Key Clubs that we sponsor.

Key Club Sponsorships

Our Kiwanis club sponsors 4 Key Clubs. The high school members of these clubs are very active in our community supporting activities like Special Olympics. The Clubs we sponsor are located at:

• Porters Chapel Academy
• River City Early College High School
• Vicksburg Catholic School
• Vicksburg High School

Easter Baskets

WE assembled 64 Easter Baskets and delivered them to South Park Elementary School. The baskets included candy, Easter items, a Kiwanis coloring book and a book of Easter Stories.

Clergy Appreciation Day

Our Spiritual Aims Committee organizes a meeting each year to recognize and honor the local Clergy for the work they do to help our community.
